Matt is the Chief Executive Officer of DHG. He leads the implementation of DHG’s strategy, focusing on five key areas — Talent, Leadership, Growth, Service and Performance. The DHG strategy supports the Firm’s mission which is to build valuable careers with our people and to help our clients achieve their goals. The mission truly serves as Matt’s compass for leading DHG.
In his 30+ year career, Matt has had the opportunity to work with clients ranging from start-ups to large national organizations. This experience has enabled him to connect with a variety of clients and build a passion for excellent client service. His keen understanding of how clients should be served drives this priority for DHG, and he truly enjoys sharing with our people how to define and deliver excellent client service.
Several additional priorities shape Matt’s focus as a leader. Matt believes in balancing his career and personal life. Family always comes first and he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, watching movies and attending sporting events. He is also passionate about talent development. In describing this passion, Matt explains how rewarding it is to mentor young associates and watch their careers flourish as they become trusted advisors. Another passion centers on the DHG values: Passion, Innovation, Trust, Relationships. Matt seeks to keep our values deeply rooted in our culture in order to drive long term success for DHG.

He currently serves on the Governing Council of Praxity, and works internally and externally to build relationships within Praxity’s alliance of more than 33,400 professionals.
Prior to becoming CEO, Matt was the Regional Managing Partner for the Firm’s Charlotte region, where he led and managed rapid growth in that market and helped extend the Firm’s Advisory Practice across the DHG footprint. Matt has also carried key client service roles, serving as the lead audit partner on a number of the firm’s largest public company audit clients.
