Overview

David Henderson, a partner in Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Tax Advisory Services Group has more than 20 years of tax and accounting experience.

Prior to joining Dixon Hughes Goodman, David worked for both regional and multi-national financial services companies. He has extensive knowledge in accounting for income taxes, income tax transformation, regulatory capital requirements for financial institutions and tax controversy.

In his previous industry roles, David served as an executive responsible for the accounting for income tax function. He led teams in the design and implementation of multiple tax transformation projects which enhanced the scope and timeliness of the income tax accounting tasks. David has served as a panelist to national audiences on these subjects.

His knowledge of regulatory reporting (BASEL) requirements for financial institutions, with a focus on the disallowed deferred tax asset calculations, has allowed him to enhance capital value and reinforce financial controls.

In addition to his extensive tax background, David has experience working in accounting policy matters, served as an appointed member of a financial disclosure committee and has served on multiple merger teams tasked with performing acquisition accounting.

Before his experience in private industry, David served in both the attest and tax functions at a national accounting firm.
