Mark Schmadtke has more than 20 years of experience providing audit and consulting services to public and private companies in a wide variety of industries. Mark works with companies to improve risk management capabilities, establish internal audit functions and execute control improvement projects.
Additionally, Mark spends considerable time assisting public companies to establish sustainable programs to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. As a former external audit partner, Mark is also experienced in assisting companies to evaluate the financial reporting impact of changes in processes, controls, and products and services. As a leader in the Risk Advisory Services practice, Mark is responsible for the overall quality of Dixon Hughes Goodman's risk advisory services and effectively presenting the results of our services to directors and executive management.
Prior to joining Dixon Hughes Goodman, Mark was a Partner with an international accounting firm where he served as an external audit partner to clients in a variety of industries. Mark also led that firm's internal audit services group for the States of Tennessee and Kentucky.
