Janice Kong

Janice serves as a Principal in the DHG Private Equity practice. In this role, she leads cross-functional teams that execute tax due diligence and tax strategies for private equity groups and their portfolio companies. Janice also provides tax structuring services for merger and acquisition clients, successor liability transaction analysis and tax classification analysis of target companies. She has extensive experience in successfully addressing the tax consequences of complex transactions. Over her career, Janice has advised private equity firms, public companies and strategic clients undertaking merger and acquisition transactions in various industries including government contracting, technology and life sciences, manufacturing and transportation.

Prior to joining DHG, she served as the Tax Leader of the Transaction Advisory Services practice for another national accounting and consulting firm. Additionally, Janice has Big Four firm experience advising clients on merger and acquisition matters covering a wide range of issues such as E&P analysis, Sec. 382 limitations and post-merger integration. She is a frequent speaker and published author on tax law matters.
