Tamara has more than 23 years of experience in the accounting profession with 20 years in public practice with accounting firms in McLean, Alexandria and Danville and more than three years in the private sector. Much of her experience is focused in auditing and tax work for not-for-profit organizations, specifically 501(c)(3) and religious organizations, professional membership associations, private foundations, private operating foundations, social welfare organizations, labor unions and audits of employee benefit plans. She also has considerable experience in providing assurance services and tax work for a variety of small to medium-sized businesses including, but not limited to, automobile dealerships, technology companies, retailers, construction contractors, municipalities and quasi-governmental organizations. Tamara has also been responsible for compliance work in accordance with APA regulatory guidelines, as well as 2 CFR 200 (formerly OMB Circular A-133).
Tamara has been with DHG since 2005 and leads the Not-for-Profit Services group for the Metro DC market.
