Effin is the Chief People Officer for Dixon Hughes Goodman. Effin primarily focuses on the development and enhancement of DHG’s people strategy, with a particular emphasis on employee engagement, talent attraction and retention, professional development, inclusion and diversity and performance development.
Effin’s true passion is people and she enthusiastically serves as mentor and trusted advisor to many at DHG. Her career in Human Resources has spanned 25+ years, during which time she has held leadership roles at nationally-recognized companies such as Citigroup, Mattel and General Electric. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer for Rothstein Kass, a top 20 accounting firm, where she led successful initiatives related to leadership development, performance management, women and diversity and earned Rothstein Kass national recognition.
Effin holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Her diverse background has allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life and truly understand what people look for in a work place to build their own unique and valuable careers.
