Jeff is the Director of SEC Services within DHG’s Professional Standards Group. In this role, Jeff is responsible for evaluating and enhancing the firm’s public company practice audit methodology, ensuring compliance with emerging issues impacting DHG’s public company clients, and continues to serve as a technical resource for the firm regarding SEC, PCAOB and other public company matters. Jeff leads the firm’s internal monitoring programs, authoring knowledge share content including DHG's comment letter responses to certain regulatory proposals, and developing policies and interpretive guidance on accounting and auditing standards.
With more than 20 years of experience, Jeff has previously served as the Technical Director of Professional Practice for the CAQ and as a Senior Manager for the PCAOB. Prior to these roles, Jeff served as the Vice President of Financial Reporting for a smaller public financial institution and started his auditing career at a Big Four firm. In addition, Jeff continues to be an active member of the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), with current or past service on various committees and task forces, including the CAQ’s Professional Practice Executive Committee and Smaller Firm Task Force, and the AICPA’s Quality Control Task Force. Jeff is also a regular participant in DHG's webcast series, Quarterly Perspectives: Financial Reporting and Beyond, and in the AICPA SEC Quarterly Update Webcast Series.
