Organizations began the year with a positive outlook, only to have the effectiveness of their SOC environments become a top priority in recent months with the evolution of COVID-19. Now in the midst of SOC examination reporting periods, it is clear that the pandemic has or will impact the issuance and reliance on SOC reports in 2020. The session will cover aspects of issuing a SOC report as well as evaluating reports obtained from vendors. Topics covered will include the following:
- Value of reports and report attributes
- COVID-19 impacts to SOC reports
- Evaluating Complementary User Entity Controls
- Evaluating Complementary Subservice Organization Controls
- Process to evaluate a qualified opinion
CPE Credit: One hour of CPE (pending approval)
Delivery Format: Group Internet Based (each attendee must be logged in and answer the poll questions in order to receive CPE credit).
