Issues In Focus - Vaccine Mandates and the GovCon - The New Landscape

On December 8th, a federal judge in Georgia blocked the contractor vaccine mandate nationwide stating the executive order exceeded the President’s authority. This ruling follows a federal judge’s preliminary injunction last week temporarily halting the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in 3 states. While these judicial challenges continue to mature – and we likely see appeals and more challenges - what should a contractor do – require employees to vaccinate or not?

In the Issues In Focus webinar in October, DHG teamed up with Holland & Knight to provide you with insight into the Presidents “Path Out of the Pandemic: COVID-19 Action Plan” and the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force guidance. As a result of the plethora of questions we received during the webinar, DHG issued a webinar update and Q&A responses. Since the webinar, more guidance has been released and the legal challenges abound regarding the vaccine mandate. What can you do to keep up with the constant change in requirements?

Join DHG’s Bill Walter and Eric Crusius of Holland & Knight as they discuss the current state of affairs regarding vaccinating your workforce. In addition, the panel will keep you up to date with the most current guidance available. Some of the topics will include:

  • How does the Federal injunctions impact me?
  • Is there anything new on “accommodations?”
  • Do I still need to get all my employees vaccinated by January 18th?
  • How might this impact subcontractors and flowdowns?
