Chuck Tew retired from DHG in 2010 after 26 years as a partner, initially in the High Point office and ultimately as managing partner of what was then the firm’s Eastern NC practice. Chuck joined Dixon Odom in 1976 when there were fewer than 50 people in the entire firm! Known for his sense of humor, Chuck says it took him years to learn that public accounting is supposed to be fun, and after that, he worked to share that view with others.
Chuck currently lives in Pinehurst, NC with his wife, Lisa, and enjoys spending time with his family and his five grandchildren. Chuck works for two businesses owned by his son, Arthur, one tech-oriented and the other, Spirit Hoops, a manufacturer of specialty hoop earrings. Chuck admits that he does not miss timesheets or the apprehension that often comes on Sunday evenings before the work week begins. However, he misses the friendships from his years with the firm.
