Celebrating Native American Heritage Month – DHG and The PhD Project

At DHG we are passionate about making an impact on the well-being of our people and our communities. As part of this passion, we strive to create diverse teams at DHG, and through our partnership with organizations such as The PhD Project, we support under-represented minorities in their path to building a valuable career.

The PhD Project recently announced its partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to help deliver a Native American recruitment and sustainability program. The program’s goal is to attract and encourage more Native Americans to become business school faculty, a field where they are severely under- represented.

Since the inception of The PhD Project, DHG has supported its mission which focuses on attracting and encouraging minorities to earn doctorates and become business professors. With this commitment from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, The PhD Project plans to create a “pipeline” of information and support to university and college Tribal Advisors across the nation as well as Education Directors at various Tribal Nations.

We are proud to be a part of an organization dedicated to inclusion and diversity and we celebrate the many unique cultures and the rich heritage that makes us who we are as a firm.

The PhD Project is an award-winning program that was developed with the goal of creating a better prepared and more diversified workforce by encouraging minorities to pursue doctoral programs and business degrees. Through DHG’s seven-year partnership with The PhD Project, and the support of numerous public and private sector organizations, The Project has more than quadrupled the number of minority business school professors, thus developing a talented pipeline of successful business leaders and role models.
