SNFs and Other Post-Acute Providers: A COVID-19 Strategic Response

As the nation moves through the phases of the COVID-19 public health emergency (‘PHE’), the front lines of the fight against the novel coronavirus have expanded from the intensive care unit of U.S. hospitals into the surrounding post-acute care markets. Of concern is the continued operating and economic impact on SNF providers. To achieve long term sustainability, it will be vital for SNF organizations to successfully navigate the next several months and emerge strong from the pandemic.

Today's installment of the FORWARD communication series focuses on these provider types, the unique impact of COVID-19 on their especially at-risk communities, and clear actions that can and should be considered right now by these providers to optimize their potential to emerge strong on the other side of the PHE.
