DHG’s Ryan Boggs to Advise Microsoft Suppliers on Data Protection and Privacy as a Microsoft Supplier Security and Privacy Assurance Preferred Assessor

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 25, 2020 – Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG), a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce its status as a qualified Microsoft Preferred Assessor to provide businesses with data protection and privacy services in the Microsoft Supplier Security and Privacy Assurance (SSPA) program. DHG’s Ryan Boggs, Managing Director, will lead the SSPA service offerings.

“We are excited for the opportunity to support Microsoft with SSPA assessments and to assist Microsoft supplier organizations with their efforts to comply with Microsoft’s privacy and security standards,” said Rodney Murray, Managing Principal of DHG’s IT Advisory practice. “It provides protection for business customers and their personal data and outlines standards that let customers know their private and sensitive information is protected.”

Microsoft’s SSPA requires their suppliers maintain data privacy and security practices, enhancing customer trust. Preferred assessors have been “vetted by Microsoft Procurement to perform a Microsoft Supplier Data Protection Requirements independent assessment,” according to Microsoft’s SSPA Preferred Assessors List. Requirements for a Preferred Assessor include being a CPA firm in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and being qualified to manage a Generally Accepted Privacy Principles (GAAP) assessment.
