DHG Welcomes New National Tax Business Development Executive Shannon Brown

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 2, 2020 – Dixon Hughes Goodman, a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Shannon Brown has joined the DHG Tax practice as a National Business Development Executive. Brown will bring more than 12 years of business development experience and corporate accounting insights to DHG Tax.

Brown is leading the expansion of existing relationships and developing new relationships for strategic priority accounts across the firm. Along with assisting firm leaders in growing our key markets, Brown is helping develop and expand on new tax services to bring to market. Additionally, she works with DHG’s Director of Sales, Jay Oliphant, to help cultivate a more unified national business development team.

In the beginning of her career, Brown worked in accounting and finance, serving as Chief Financial Officer at an insurance company and Director of Finance and Accounting at  an international retail company. Since then, Brown has worked in business development roles to assist professional organizations with growing their footprint. She has worked with multiple law firms and a top ten public accounting firm as a client development executive.

Brown received both a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Florida. She is a committee member of the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisition Advisors’ Tampa Bay Chapter. Brown is excited to be relocating from Tampa to join DHG’s Metro D.C. office this winter.
