Recognized nationally as a forensics advisor, Erik has more than 25 years of experience serving clients across industry sectors as an expert witness, arbitrator, and leader of complex investigations.

Prior to joining DHG, Erik practiced with an international public accounting and advisory firm where he held regional, national and global leadership roles. Erik’s practice is focused on helping public and private companies and other organizations navigate fraud, government investigations, regulatory enforcement matters and bet-the-house litigation. He advises clients and their legal counsels with experience leading fraud, financial restatement, corruption and other investigations. Erik has also provided expert testimony on damages, fraud, accounting issues and served as an arbitrator in post-acquisition and other business disputes.
Erik was recognized for his dedication to the profession with the Dr. D. Larry Crumbley Award for Outstanding Service by Pfeiffer University. Additionally, he serves on the advisory board for the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences at the University of New Haven. He is a current board member and past board chair of MeckEd, a not-for-profit advocating for the students of public schools in Mecklenburg County.
