DHG Financial Services Welcomes Steven Khoury as Manager in Texas

Fort Worth, T.X., January 3, 2019 – Dixon Hughes Goodman, a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Steven Khoury, CPA, has joined the DHG Financial Services practice as a Manager. Khoury will bring a thorough and in-depth understanding of the banking environment and the current expected credit loss (CECL) standard.

“The addition of Steven to our financial services team in Dallas/Fort Worth shows DHG’s continued investment in talent in this rapidly growing market. Steven brings industry and CECL experience, a history of superior client service and the proven ability to develop a team. Steven’s energy and experience are a welcome addition as we serve our clients throughout Texas,” said Ashley Ensley, Partner, DHG Financial Services.

“We are excited to have Steven join our growing team of more than 50 professionals in Dallas/Fort Worth,” said Jonathan Wilke, Office Managing Partner. “He will bring passion, enthusiasm and exceptional CECL knowledge to our financial services clients.”

Prior to joining DHG, Khoury worked with a financial institution with assets greater than $2 billion, as the direct lead for the implementation of CECL. He facilitated the build of an in-house CECL model, which was recognized at a national AICPA conference as one that has made significant progress in CECL implementation. Khoury assisted in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and practices for the institution’s interest rate risk management, liquidity and funding management, cash and investment portfolio management and stress testing.

Khoury previously was a Senior Associate in DHG Financial Services practice in Charlotte, N.C., where he performed and supervised both internal and financial statement audits for public and private clients.

Khoury received both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Darla Moore School of Business Young Alumni as a board member, UNCOMMEN Board of Directors and is a member of United Way LYNC.
