DHG Continues Commitment to Inclusion with new Leadership Promotions

Charlotte, N.C., June 11, 2021 – Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG), a U.S. top 20 professional services firm, is pleased to announce the leadership promotions of Katrina Thompson to Chief People Officer and Sarah Windham to Charleston, S.C. Office Managing Partner. These leadership promotions come at the same time the firm announced four of the five new partners and principals are women and supports the firm’s commitment to Inclusion & Diversity.

We understand this will be a continuous journey to increase diversity at all levels of the firm,” said Tricia Wilson, Managing Partner of Talent and Leadership and Executive Committee Chair. “After a year that was challenging for everyone and particularly for many working women, I am extremely proud of Katrina and Sarah. While serving different roles for the firm, their commitment, resilience and passion as leaders are truly impactful for our firm of the future journey.”

Last year, the firm announced a new strategic position for Tricia, a long-time firm leader, to her current role as the Managing Partner of Talent and Leadership. In this role, Tricia guides the firm's people strategies, including employee experience, recruitment, learning and development, coaching and the firmwide focus on Inclusion & Diversity.

“I look forward to welcoming many more leaders from underrepresented groups to leadership positions within the firm. The more everyone can identify with a leader and say, ‘They are like me,’ the greater sense of belonging all will experience,” said Tricia.

Women now make up 25% of the firm’s partners and principals and the firm is committed to continuing to grow this number with a strategic succession and development plan for leaders.

Katrina has been with DHG for more than 23 years serving a variety of roles within Human Resources. Most recently, Katrina served as Director of HR. In her new role as Chief People Officer, she will be responsible for firmwide excellence for all People programs and practices including the employee experience, performance development and coaching, compensation and benefits, workforce and succession planning, talent acquisition, and retention and employee relations.

Sarah has been with DHG for more than 22 years and serves as a Tax Partner with an industry focus of construction, real estate and agribusiness. Sarah actively serves as a role model, mentor and coach for many in the Charleston office and is looking forward to serving the team as the OMP.
