DHG & BKD: Together for a Brighter Future

I am proud to share with you a historic moment in our firm’s history.   DHG and BKD have plans to merge, effective June 1, 2022, to create a new Top-10 national accounting firm. This merger will take the best attributes of both DHG and BKD to create a future-focused firm that puts people first and provides an unmatched experience to our clients.

Our mission is to build valuable careers with all of our people and to help our clients achieve their goals. As we approach an ever-changing and evolving profession, we recognized the need to alter course and embark on a new path to achieve our mission. Combining DHG’s and BKD’s achievements and strong legacies enables us to attain purposeful, next-level success, in fulfilling our mission.

As a new firm, we will have more than 5,400 team members across 68 markets in 27 states, including the United Kingdom and the Cayman Islands. This footprint broadens our national reach, allowing us to quickly pivot to new market opportunities when needed and to better position ourselves for global expansion.

By merging and becoming a Top-10 national firm, we will have access to new opportunities and be equipped to react quicker to market changes providing deep industry intelligence, a stronger geographic footprint, and a more diverse team. We will set the standard for ultra-responsive service, solving client problems through innovative technologies, industry intelligence, expanded services and forward-thinking thought leaders.

Beyond boosting our strategy for going to market and serving clients, we also see this merger as a means to take our people strategy to a new level. We look forward to offering an enhanced employee experience, greater career mobility and an expanded geographic footprint, all while creating a culture of belonging that attracts more diverse talent. We will set the standard for the employee experience of the future with enhanced total rewards, a premiere learning and leadership development environment, and a culture of inclusion and belonging.

We hope you will share in our excitement. We are working on a new name and brand identity for our new firm, which we expect to roll out later this spring. While there is much work ahead, we are excited to embark on this journey and to take our place as a national market leader.
