– Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG), a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce Kalund Brodie as the recipient of the DHG Diversity Scholarship. DHG developed a diversity scholarship award program to support the firm’s commitment to Inclusion & Diversity and mission of growing valuable careers. The purpose of this program is to support traditionally underrepresented candidates in the pursuit of graduate or post graduate certificates in Accounting or other fields.
“We are thrilled to award Brodie this year’s scholarship. It is an honor to be able to provide assistance to a well-deserving and hardworking student like Brodie. He is a joy to work with and we look forward to welcoming Brodie to the team fulltime,” noted Katie Davenport, Head of Campus Recruiting for the firm.
Brodie has displayed remarkable academic excellence and leadership achievements. He is a current student in the Master of Accounting program at North Carolina State University (NCSU) and is very involved in the NCSU community having served as the President and Vice-President of the school’s National Association of Black Accountants Chapter. He also served as an ambassador for NSCU’s business school, Poole College of Management.
In July, Brodie completed his fourth internship with DHG, and has proven success and growth throughout his time at the firm. He has attended the DHG Leadership Conference as the Raleigh office representative and all NCSU campus recruiting events on behalf of the firm. Brodie will join DHG as an Assurance Associate in Raleigh, NC in October 2021.
