DHG Announces 2017 Community IMPACT Award Winners

Charlotte, N.C, Oct. 23, 2017 – Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) is pleased to announce its 2017 Community IMPACT Award winners. Adele Chassaignac, a senior healthcare consultant in the Birmingham, AL office, is the recipient of the individual award and DHG’s Tampa Bay, FL market is the recipient of the market award.

The awards recognize the individual and the market who have shown extraordinary initiative in the community by logging the most volunteer hours during the 2017 fiscal year. The awards ceremony took place during DHG’s annual partner meeting in Orlando, FL. Both Adele and the Tampa Bay market received a monetary donation intended to support their endeavors in the community in the year to come.

“The DHG Community IMPACT Awards celebration is a very special time when we come together to recognize achievements, excellence and contributions that improve our communities– and most importantly, we celebrate our amazing people around the firm who work together to make our communities and the world a better place,” said Tricia Wilson, President of the DHG Foundation.

When Adele is not at work she can be found volunteering with Hand in Paw, an innovative non-profit that improves human health and well-being through animal-assisted therapy. As a professionally trained Hand in Paw volunteer, Adele and her therapy teams visit patients receiving care for acute medical conditions, cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy, and people living with mental disorders. Adele spends most of her time in the Behavioral Health unit at Children’s Hospital of Alabama visiting children, adolescents, and young adults with psychiatric disorders.

The Tampa Bay office opened its doors in 2013, and since then, its local professionals have focused on building a collaborative internal team and meaningful relationships throughout the region. The Tampa Bay office was thrilled to be the recipient of the 2017 Community IMPACT award for logging the most volunteer hours among all DHG markets per capita.

“The passion for serving from Adele and the Tampa Bay market goes well beyond the work they do for our clients because they care about supporting the well-being of our people, our broader community and our profession in ways that align with our mission, values, and strategy,” commented Wilson.
