DHG Donates $48,000 for Hurricane Relief Efforts

Charlotte, N.C, Oct. 23, 2017 – To support those impacted by the recent hurricanes, Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) collectively raised more than $48,000 to support Hurricane Harvey, Maria, and Irma relief efforts. The DHG Foundation and DHG team members donated the dollars to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Foundation Emergency Relief Fund and other disaster relief funds. DHG strategically supported the NADA Foundation to provide immediate help to its dealership clients in the affected areas.

“Our thoughts are with all of the people who have been impacted by these devastating storms,” said Tricia Wilson, President of the DHG Foundation. “It has been inspiring to see our DHG family rally together in support and fully exhibit what is at the heart of our DHG values– serving our communities.”

DHG is especially proud of its employee-driven fundraiser for UNICEF, which raised more than $13,000. “Because of our people’s passion to give and serve others near and far, we were able to provide 490 UNICEF supply kits for families affected by the devastation in Puerto Rico,” commented Wilson. The UNICEF kits contain essential supplies such as water purification tablets, a water bucket with lid, water containers, soap, toothpaste, and detergent.
