DHG Extends Partnership with The PhD Project

Charlotte, N.C. July 29, 2016 — Dixon Hughes Goodman, a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce its renewed support of The PhD Project through 2019. This extended three-year commitment reiterates the firm's passion around inclusion and diversity and follows the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics' call to action.

The PhD Project is an award-winning program that was developed with the goal of creating a better prepared and more diversified workforce by encouraging minorities to pursue doctoral programs and business degrees. Through DHG's seven-year partnership with The PhD Project, and the support of numerous public and private sector organizations, The Project has more than quadrupled the number of minority business school professors, thus developing a talented pipeline of successful business leaders and role models.

"Our relationship with The PhD Project reflects our core values and our mission to build valuable careers with our people," said Kent Satterfield, DHG Chairman and current Chair of The PhD Project Board. "The PhD Project has been a passion project of mine and the firm's for many years and I am proud of all that we have accomplished together. We are excited about this extended partnership and I look forward to our continued work in celebrating and fostering diversity within the business landscape."
