DHG to Present on Ethics and Accounting & Tax Update at the Virginia Bankers Association CFO Conference

Richmond, Va., August 19, 2015 – Paul Thompson, Partner, and Dave Niles, Partner, will present at the Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) CFO Conference. Thompson will lead the Ethics Session, and Niles will participate in a panel discussion focused on accounting and tax updates. The event will be held August 24 - 26, 2015, at the Omni Hotel Downtown in Richmond, Va.

Based in Richmond, Thompson has more than 17 years of public accounting experience with complex, fast growing financial institutions that require immediate results and multiple disciplines, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, accounting systems and internal control. He has extensive background in the planning, coordination, supervision and review of accounting and auditing engagements, which enables him to offer recommendations concerning improved operating efficiency and profitability. Thompson has experience with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory filings including 10-K, 10-Q and merger-related filings.

Niles has more than 20 years’ experience in public accounting serving the banking industry. Prior to joining DHG, he worked for both Big Four and a regional firm where he served community banks and multi-billion dollar regional and national banks. Niles also has significant experience in due diligence assistance and assisting in the registration and reporting requirements of the SEC. In addition to providing external audit services to financial institutions, he is responsible for the Risk Services and Internal Audit Group of DHG’s community banking practice, where he oversees the delivery of internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley consulting and other advisory services to banks.
